The founders of Get Waldo developed an AI algorithm that crawls the internet for sales and then gives you the price difference on items you purchased. This is an awesome cash back tool for anyone who doesn’t have time to shop around for the best price or wants to get the lowest price possible. Besides being free to use, I think one of the best benefits Get Waldo offers is that once it is set up, you don’t have to do anything else. There’s no receipts to upload or offers to add in order to save money. You set and forget, except for when you get a message that you got money back.

To get started with Waldo sign up with Google. Then register the email where you get your receipts. Note: GetWaldo.com is a relatively new service and currently works with Gmail. According to their website, developers are working to add more email services. You then link a credit card with a good rewards program. (You can link a debit card but I don’t recommend using debit cards because it is linked directly to your bank account.)
Get Waldo works with several popular brands like Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s including big box stores like Costco & Walmart. This is the complete list of supported Brands on Get Waldo (they keep adding more brands).
How Get Waldo Works
Example: say you bought and awesome TV at Best Buy, and paid with the credit card linked to Get Waldo. Best Buy emails you a receipt. Get Waldo then collects product SKUs, pricing, color, size, and quantity from your inbox, and gets to work putting their AI algorithm to continuously scan for a lower price. When it finds a lower price you get the difference minus their finders fee.
Where does the refund come from?
Refunds are issued through the price protection and price adjustment policies offered by most major retailers and credit card issuers. Something anyone can get, but who has the time to monitor price drops? Get Waldo does.
Where does the cash back get refunded?
Depending on the merchant, refunds are:
- Credited back to your credit card
- Credited back to your bank account
- Emailed to you via a gift certificate
- Mailed to you via check
Choose either text or email to get cash back details from Get Waldo – money back and price drop information. This service is much easier than some of the credit protection plans offered by some credit cards in which you have to upload receipts. Currently there is only one version of Get Waldo – Waldo Lite, which works with over 100 brands and you get 75% money back (finders fee is 25% total cash back).
